Briana Lyons is the founder of The Yellow Note, a creative studio + lifestyle brand created to inspire connection and celebrate the everyday. What began as an online stationery and party goods shop in 2013 has since evolved into a multifaceted creative studio following the growth of Briana’s Instagram account, @theyellownote, where she shares inspiring yet approachable travel and home content with her growing audience of over 52,000 followers.
With a background in social work and a continuous desire to help others, Briana seeks to assist other businesses achieve success leveraging the power of Instagram and social media. Through The Yellow Note Creative, Briana and her husband Tom help to amplify brands and businesses by way of content creation, photography, social media strategy + consulting, and influencer marketing.
The Yellow Note has had the pleasure of working with brands including Lands' End, L.L.Bean, Brooks Brothers, Dooney & Bourke, J.K.Adams, Visit Catskills, Lake George Area, and more. Raised in South Glens Falls, Briana graduated from Utica College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, followed by obtaining a Master of Science in Gerontology from the University of Massachusetts Boston, and a Master of Social Work from the University at Albany.

MEET TOM LYONS
A silent partner from the start, Briana’s husband Tom joined the business full-time in 2018. With two decades of operational and leadership experience in the senior living and healthcare industry spanning driving the bus to executive level management, Tom is an experienced professional with a proven track record of positive organizational and community leadership delivered through kindness, empathy, and accountability. He delivers a firm strategic understanding of the advantage of a balanced, contemporary approach to sales, marketing, and communications. He’s a bridge-builder, relationship cultivator, and enthusiastic organization and community advocate. Tom believes in the power of positive people, actions, follow-through, and gratitude.
Inspired by helping his wife grow her business, Tom has circled back to his creative roots through photography and writing by joining his wife full time with The Yellow Note. He’s had success growing his own Instagram account, @wheresthewagoneer, to over 14,000 followers. Applying his day-to-day operational business experience, Tom enjoys helping others convey their goals and mission in a positive and compelling way through social media.
Raised in Latham, Tom graduated from Hartwick College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Sage Colleges.
